This piece of work focused on adding new functionality to the existing Jaguar Land Rover Way knowledge portal, where users could search for items within the explorer manual content type. This feature is to make it easier for users to find the content they are looking for within a vast library of documents.
As it was not possible to include this feature within the global search due to technical limitations, research was performed to identify where the new search bar should be placed, as well as how the search results modal should be designed. I worked with the Technical Solutions team, who had built the full knowledge portal, to understand which information can be provided to users when they search, and if there were any limitations to the features suggested by stakeholders.
